Windshield Washer Fluid Ingredients

As mentioned above, the ingredients for this job isn’t fancy and readily available for you. Here are the ingredients you need for this DIY:

  • Distilled water
  • Car shampoo or dishwashing liquid
  • Isopropyl alcohol (optional)
  • Blue colorant (optional)

You should only use distilled water and not tap water. Tap water has minerals that overtime, can accumulate inside your washer tank clogging your pump and hose. So to prevent this hassle, only use distilled water.

Alcohol on the other hand, is used to help prevent the fluid from turning into ice. This is important if you live in a country that experiences winter.
